Farewell, baby news and returning educators
The last few months we have wished good luck to Kara, Jordyn, and Carly as they embark on their journey of motherhood. As the term comes to an end, we extend our best wishes to Yishan, which will bring the total number of educators on maternity leave to eight this year.
Last week, we said goodbye to Ange from the Nursery room as she and her family relocated to sunny Queensland. This term, we welcomed back Emily from Queensland, who has rejoined the kindergarten team.
Engaging with the community
This term we have had visits from the local CFA and Police, we have had music and soccer incursions, bush kinder, community walks and book week. Parent helpers have been very helpful in the sessional kinder programs.
Pre School-Council
This term we have introduced pre-school council. We have representatives from each four-year-old groups. So far, the children have assisted us with looking at what incursions/excursions they would like to see at Kinder.
The children have participated in:
🌱Planting trees for National tree planting day
🔊A child Voice survey
✉️Writing a letter to the Department of Education to support our application for a grant submission to complete stage two of our outdoor yard.
Turning 6
In July we celebrated our 6th birthday with a small party with all our friends.
Professional Development
We have also been focusing on nurturing the growth of our educators in recent months, actively supporting their personal and professional development.
