Eucalyptus Parade Kindergarten

Our centre

The Eucalyptus Parade Kindergarten has 2 large rooms where we offer 3-year-old and 4-year-old kindergarten programs in Donnybrook. Built in 2022 the kindergarten is located close to the Hume Anglican Grammar School and growing Donnybrook community.

Our curriculum reflects the National Quality Framework and Victoria Early Years Learning Frameworks

Families provide snacks and lunches. However, cooking is an important part of our curriculum. Children participate in making cakes to celebrate their peers’ birthdays.

We like to engage with the children so they can have a voice in their education. The children help set up the room to maximise their learning. We also encourage the children to set up and pack away their own activities.

Creating different play and learning areas

Having so much space in this new centre helps us to create different play and learning areas. We like to engage with the children so they can have a voice in their education. They help organise the rooms to maximise their learning and we encourage them to set up and pack away their own activities.

Each room has a range of recycled, natural and other materials. Large windows provide plenty of natural light, creating a calm environment for children. There are numerous activities to encourage group play and collaboration. We also have quiet places allowing children to reflect and have time to themselves.

A stimulating outdoor space

Eucalyptus Parade Kindergarten has a stimulating outdoor space providing a large thriving educational hub for the children to enjoy. Large umbrellas cover the area, protecting children throughout the year.

The vibrant area includes:

  • a sandpit
  • cubby house
  • outdoor chalk board
  • water play
  • age appropriate play equipment
  • a yarning circle for story time and Acknowledgement of Country.

We teach children about the importance of sustainability and the environment in our veggie patch.

Building an open dialogue

Our educators build an open dialogue between parents, educators and children. They are always happy to check in with parents to discuss progress.

We connect with our families using the Storypark platform. It is a great resource enabling everyone to track learning milestones.

We can’t wait to meet you and be part of your child’s early learning journey.

Testimonials

Meet the manager

Chrissie

Centre Manager

With over 30 years of experience in the early childhood education sector, I have been privileged to support children as they learn, grow, and develop the foundational skills essential for lifelong learning.

My practice is grounded in a child-centred approach and a strong commitment to creating inclusive, engaging environments where children feel safe, valued, and supported to achieve their full potential.

I am now seeking to extend my contribution through the administrative and leadership aspects of the sector, drawing on my extensive knowledge and experience to strengthen operations, support informed decision-making, and enhance program quality.

I also value building strong partnerships with families and the wider community, recognising the important role collaboration plays in supporting children’s development and wellbeing.
