Our Centre
Galada Kindergarten is part of the Galada Community Centre which was built in 2014 and is located across the road from the Aurora Village shopping precinct in Epping. We are also located close to three local primary schools: Epping Views PS, Harvest Home PS and St. Mary of the Cross MacKillop.
We offer 3 and 4 Year Old Kindergarten programs which are delivered to over 230 children each week.
Our curriculum has been built to reflect both the National Quality Framework and Victoria Early Years Learning Frameworks. Where possible we like to engage with the children so they can have a voice in their education. We invite children to make suggestions on how the room should be set up to maximise their learning! Children are also encouraged to set up and pack away their own activities.
Our centre has 3 large 33 place rooms! Having so much space helps us to create different play and learning areas. We use a range of recycled, natural and man-made materials in each room and also have large windows which allows us to have lots of natural light that creates a calm environment for children. Within our rooms, there are numerous activities set up to encourage group play and collaboration. In addition to this, we create quiet places which allow children to reflect and have time to themselves.
Galada kindergarten has a stimulating outdoor space complete with mud patch, sandpit and bike track. Our outdoor play space is covered with large sails to protect children when playing in both summer and winter.
Creating a clear and open communication line between our families and our educators is important to us. We use different methods of communication with families including face to face chats, email and Storypark. We are very lucky to have staff members with different cultural backgrounds, speaking in different languages which often helps us to communicate with families.
Storypark is an online platform that helps us to keep families up to date with their child’s progress (including milestone tracking) as well as upcoming events and other announcements in the Galada community.
At kinder the children and family provide snacks and lunches. However, cooking is a very important part of our curriculum. Children participate in making birthday cakes to celebrate their peer’s birthday! We also grow our own vegetables in our garden, which we harvest and use in cooking with the children, as well as a part of cultural celebrations involving families and our community to share their experiences and knowledge.
We can wait to meet you and be part of your child’s early learning journey!

Meet the Manager

Renata Wozniak
Early Years Team Leader
My name is Renata and I am a Centre Director at Galada Kindergarten.
I commenced my passion for working with children in 2006 in London and I have been working for YMCA since 2017. Over those years my roles have included Co-Educator, Room Leader, Educational Leader, Kindergarten Teacher, Long Day Care Coordinator and a Centre Director.
So far, it has been an amazing and very rewarding journey for me, which gives me the opportunity to not only participate in children’s development but also to grow and develop my own skills every day.
I am extremely passionate about children’s growth and I believe that families and wider community play an important role in children’s education. I believe that it is important for everyone to work together to provide the children with the best learning opportunities.
I trust that my positive attitude and welcoming nature will help to build trusting relationships with all families, children, staff members and members of our community.
