Culture and Learning
This term at Kirrip Kindergarten, our little learners from our Honeybee group delved into the rich world of indigenous culture with a captivating incursion by Digeridoo Australia. From dance performances to insightful lessons about traditional practices, our children had a wonderful opportunity to learn and appreciate the diversity of our heritage.
Exploring Languages
In an exciting language adventure, the young minds in the Ladybug group embarked on a Tamil learning journey with the talented educator, Gowsi. Exploring the vibrant world of colours and numbers, the children not only expanded their linguistic horizons but also had heaps of fun along the way.
Championing Reading
Cheers echo through the classrooms this week as we proudly celebrated the completion of the Premier’s Reading Challenge. Every classroom achieved the remarkable achievement of reading 40 books! Now, we eagerly await the arrival of our well-deserved certificates, a testament to our children’s dedication to the world of stories.
Book Week
Imagination and creativity throve during Book Week, where our children brought their favourite characters to life through dressing up. The spirit of literature enveloped our community space as children celebrated the joy of reading together.
Community Connection
Three out of our six groups have embarked on community walks in Wollert, fostering a strong sense of connection and engagement. These walks not only enriched our children’s understanding of their surroundings but also reinforced the importance of being active members of our community.
Stay tuned for more exciting updates from Kirrip Kindergarten as we continue to inspire, learn, and grow together!
