The past couple of weeks here at Diggers Rest Kindergarten have been very busy and filled with a multitude of entertaining and engaging activities.
The rooms within our service have been very busy celebrating and engaging in science week activities!!!
We had a Skittle Experiment in our Wattle room!!!
In our Orchid room, we explored whether natural materials would sink or float. The children took turns placing the objects in the water and observing the results. Meanwhile, over in the Daisy Room, our young children have the opportunity to observed and learned the fascinating effect of colour mixing using milk as a medium.
Dental Checkups
We are thrilled to announce that on the 30 of August, our local dentist will be visiting our service to perform dental checkups on some of our children.
We took this opportunity to discuss during our group time:
🪥The importance of correct tooth brushing,
😁The importance of maintaining oral hygiene,
🦷The connection between healthy eating and the positive impact it has on the growth of our teeth and general well-being.
Professional Development
We have also been focusing on nurturing the growth of our educators in recent months, actively supporting their personal and professional development.
This includes offering them enriching learning experiences, introducing a new programming template, and acquiring a wealth of new resources.
