Encourage children to draw what they see in the mirror for a fun exploration of self-identity.
Equipment Required:
- Paper
- Pencils/crayons
- Mirror
Using either a fixed or hand held mirror, set children up so they have a good view of their faces and enough space for their paper and pencils. Simply tell them to draw what they see, and if they require further prompting, you can use the language and questions included in the printable worksheet below!
By spending time in front of the mirror and attempting to translate what they see through illustration, children start to understand the structure of their features and what makes them unique.
