The past term we have seen many rooms/groups venture out into the local community.
All our 4 year old Kinder groups commenced a 9 week bush kinder program. This program allowed children to explore the local parks, wildlife, and fauna. Some of the kinder groups even stopped by the local remote aeroplane club house.
Our younger rooms are also getting out and about using the centre’s prams to explore the local area and parks, stopping by the Searle Street duck pond.
Spring has sprung
Our 4 year old Kinder children help harvest the vegie patch. They collected some rainbow chard, silver beet, spinach, parsley, rosemary and lovely crisp, spring onions. They filled a basket to the brim then took it to the kitchen to Harpreet our cook who was very pleased to see some fresh, organic produce to add to our meals throughout the week. As an extension of our healthy eating program we had Bunnings South Morang attend in August to assist in planting new vegetables for the children to nurture and harvest in 8-12 weeks. They will then be able to enjoy the yummy vegetables in their cooking program or for Harpreet to cook up a yummy feast.
Fathers day/ special persons day
It was great to see so many dads, grandparents, friends, uncles and mums attend the centre throughout the week to celebrate with all the special people in our lives. We hope all das and special people enjoyed their small gift.
Important dates and reminders
- Enrolments and group preferences for 2023– Monday 3rd of October all families to receive a link to select your preferred days and session groups for LDC and Kinder
- Melbourne Cup Eve –CENTRE CLOSED 31st of October – No charges will apply
- Melbourne Cup Public Holiday 1st of November the Centre will be closed (Fees are still charged)
- 2023 Kinder information night- Monday 14th of November
- Graduation dates to follow soon
- Christmas party Friday 2nd of December- Save The Date
- Sessional Kinder term ends Friday 16th of December.
- Centre Closes Friday 23rd of December at 6:30pm and reopens Monday 9th of January.
