Incursion Week
Incursion participation at kindergarten promotes children’s development in many areas which include the opportunity for social engagement, shared learning opportunity, access to resources, cognitive and physical development and increased collaboration.
During Term 3 we celebrated footy week and what a fantastic way to celebrate the end of term with a footy program from Mini Mon-Stars. We are looking forward to a music program in Term 4. The ladybug group decided to read a story called ‘Jackson Footy’ and discussed what football is and who the children support in the AFL.
Book Week
Book week is all about celebrating books as well as authors and illustrations. It’s a fantastic way to see children get excited about books and what characters and books have meaning in their life.
In Term 3 we celebrated book week on the 22/8/2-26/8/22. We read many stories throughout the day including a special book Ellery had brought in to share with her friends called ‘Room on the Broom.’ We had a disco dance where the children requested their favourite songs.
Special person day (Father’s Day)
29/8/22-2/9/22 we celebrated Special Persons / Father’s Day – we enjoyed a wonderful afternoon tea and the families had the opportunity to engage in the outdoor environments by creating art work and taking photos together. What a lovely week to celebrate together.
