How to Make Coloured Salt

Making coloured salt is a fun activity that you can do at home with items from the pantry.

You will need:

1 Clear Jar

Salt

Chalk

A piece of paper

Instructions:

Step 1) Pour some salt onto a piece of paper

Step 2) Rub a piece of chalk into the salt until it starts to change colour.

Hint: the longer your rub the chalk, the darker the colour will become

Step 3) Once the salt has change colour, fold the piece of paper and use it as a funnel to pour it into your jar.

Step 4) Repeat this process until you have filled your jar and created a beautiful rainbow.
