Busy, busy, busy as always here at Diggers Rest Early Learning Centre!
It has been a very cold start to winter this year, but that hasn’t stopped the fun here at the centre! As we expected many chilly and rainy days, we prepared lots of exciting indoor learning activities.
We have loved playing with our brand-new indoor climbing equipment and experimenting with our new science and literacy program. There have also been many wholesome moments with our new family member Charlie the Turtle. We love talking to him, taking him for walks on the grass and petting him gently.
We wished our mums a very happy Mother’s Day and thanked them for all of their amazing hard work with handmade gifts. The children and staff also had an amazing time dressing up for book week.
In our cooking class, we honoured the ANZACs by making ANZAC biscuits and telling stories about our history.
Finally, to encourage safeguarding education, we have developed a reading space located at the front of our centre. Here, you can find resources about safeguarding.
We are super excited to see you all in term 3 as we continue our winter learning journey.
